They were made up of five people-kids that have made their way up into the hearts of many listeners. In their teens, Czar, Bree, Reese, Colin and Zack. On a very ordinary day, these five would go home from school, change clothes and head out to give their audience what they wish to hear.
On a very ordinary day, it happened.
I was there, watching, having fun, shouting, singing along.
It was when Czar was in the middle of her guitar solo, taking a break from her bassist duties. Then, when the crowd was at its peak of excitement, a gunshot resounded throughout the coliseum. I saw everything. My favorite member, Czar, was fortunately unhurt. But Zack, her best friend, obviously was. His arm was bleeding, and I was far scared. He knelt, so slowly, letting go of his mic. Another shot reverberated in my ears, although I could swear it hit no one.
Czar had zipped up her jacket (which is very unusual since this was an emergency... where does she find the time to even zip her jacket!?). Seeing that the others were there to help Zack, she made her way to the mic she was using to sing and warned, "Everybody, get down!" She retrieved a gun-which made me like her more since she looked so cool...-and started shooting far above us. A few minutes later we heard the exit door slam and everyone was quiet. The ambulance came and took Zack. Czar made her way outside with a few police.
"He must be here somewhere! Find him, he was wounded... he can't get far from here."
They searched for a while and found the culprit. Czar was mad. She was brutal in handling the man, although his leg was bleeding. "Why in the world did you do that," she shouted, grabbing his collar. "Tell me!"
The man didn't wish to answer, but after a few taunts made by Czar, he admitted. "Someone told me to kill you! I'm sorry, okay? But I needed the money!"
Czar stopped talking. He fixed the man up and motioned for the medics to help. "How much did this person offer you?"
"100, 000. I need it for my wife... she's sick."
"Here," Czar said, handing out a check. "It's a little more than he offered. Next time you need money, you can ask me."
The check read 250, 000. "Czar... my wife is your fan. It's a good thing I don't have to hurt you anymore. I'm sorry about your bestfriend... and... take care. That man... That... that man... is dangerous."
The man fainted, and Czar accompanied him to the hospital and said that she will pay the expenses. The hospital was crowded and Zack was waiting outside the elevator for transport. Czar came to him, morose and serious. "Zack... I am so sorry... this is all my fault!"
"Wh-what do you mean...?"
"That man was trying t-to kill.... kill me... n-n-not you..."
"Czar? Are you okay? Czar?!" Zack was feeling nervous. In front of him, Czar didn't seem sorry... she seemed to be in pain. She was crunching up his blankets, as if she needs someone to hold on to. He held her hand tight and said to her, "Czar... I'm your best friend. You can tell me whatever it is that's bothering you."
"Zack... Zack I-I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I kept it a secret from you..."
"Huh? What are you talking about, Czar?!" Zack felt nervous, absolutely scared. What could Czar be keeping a secret that was so important that she was shaking beside him right now? He was still a bit woozy from the shot he got, and the stairs behind Czar were getting unfocused. Now he regrets not becoming unconscious at that very moment...
Czar told him...
"Z-Zack.. I got shot too."
